Woven carpets, with their tight structure and long service life, are widely used in home and light commercial scenarios. However, their precise interweaving process is prone to various manufacturing defects, and effective quality control is the key to ensuring quality. This article briefly popularizes the phased quality control points of woven carpets to help understand how to avoid common manufacturing defects.

1. Pre-Production Quality Control

Before production, it is necessary to conduct raw material inspection and equipment calibration. For yarns, it is necessary to check density, twist and color consistency to avoid color difference; for backing materials, it is necessary to test thickness uniformity and compatibility with fibers to eliminate the hidden danger of delamination. At the same time, it is necessary to calibrate the parameters such as loom tension and reed spacing, and weave pattern samples in advance to check for deformation, color misalignment and other problems.

2. In-Production Quality Control

The weaving process needs real-time monitoring, focusing on checking defects such as pattern misalignment, fiber fraying and uneven density. An inspection should be conducted every 5 meters to avoid large-scale waste. The dyeing process needs to ensure uniform color, and conduct rub fastness and UV resistance tests to prevent fading and color migration, ensuring it meets the use requirements.

3. Post-Production Quality Control

Finished products need to be inspected for trimming and edging quality to avoid edge fraying; the backing adhesion should be verified through peel test to eliminate delamination. At the same time, conduct appearance inspection and stain resistance test to ensure no hidden defects and easy stain cleaning. Batch products need sampling inspection to ensure consistent quality.

Common defects can be avoided through scientific methods: pattern misalignment can be prevented by daily loom calibration, delamination defects need to control the quality of backing adhesive, fading problems can be solved by using certified high-performance dyes, and edge fraying can be resolved through automatic trimming and timely edging.

The quality control of woven carpets needs to run through the entire production process. Through rigorous inspection and scientific management, common defects can be effectively avoided, ensuring the durability and aesthetics of the products.
